BIOGRAPHY
As a web designer with a background in applied arts, Julien Espagnon was quickly drawn to interactive web experiences and coding.
During his Master's degree in interactive design, he expanded his design skills by learning programming through the discovery of interactive installations and generative art. In 2015, he joined the digital communication agency Spintank as an interactive designer and later as a web developer until 2020.
He then became a freelancer, working on projects ranging from design to front and back-end development (WordPress).
In 2017, he started the project "365 Shapes of Blue," which involved creating a daily animated shape using algorithms on Processing. Soon, he began transposing these digitally generated shapes onto paper using a plotter, an articulated arm that allowed him to attach desired drawing tools. The combination of digital and paper was the result of a search for plasticity that he wanted to develop.
Since 2021, he has been participating in workshops and teaching courses to share my passion for creative coding and plotter drawing.
