KJETIL GOLID, Expanse, 2022

10 exclusive works by Kjetil Golid will be displayed at 2023 Art SG as unique NFTs + Fine Art Print signed by the artist (120x85cm)

EXPANSE divides the plane into a grid and extrudes each cell of the grid into cuboids of various dimensions. Each face on each cuboid is colored based on its slant, relative to a light source. Laws of illumination turn this geometrical relation into a numerical value which is subsequently mapped to a location in the color space, giving each face its color.

With the shapes and colors so tightly linked, by using repetitious rules when deciding upon dimensions and slants, chromatic patterns and tendencies emerge as well.

On January 3rd, 2023 the first two works ‘Pearlescent’ & ‘Kaleidoscope’ will be auctioned by the artist. All works will be minted on the artist’s own smart contract & auctioned on Manifold with a min reserve price at 30ETH. Please see the links to the auction pages:
